1. Clare R. Baltazar – author of Philippine Insects

- discovered one subgenus of Hymenoptera and 108 new species of the Phil. Parasitic swamp

 

2. Benjamen D. Cabrera – works are mostly on medical parasitology and public health.

 

3. Filomena F. Campos – recognized for her work on cotton research that led to the development of a package of technology on cotton production. - she was also involved in research work on the sunflower, a potential source of edible oil and livestock feed.

 

4. Magdalena C. Cantoria – done work on pharmacognosy ( the study of therapeutic substances) of agar, rauwolfia, datura, mint and piper species.

 

5. Lourdes J. Cruz – contributed to the understanding of the biochemistry of toxic peptides from the venom of fish hunting marine conus snails.

- her work led to the development of conotoxins, used as tools for examining the activity of human brain.
